Calling Ag and Food Entrepreneurs

Explore your idea’s potential, develop your business tools and network with leading experts at the Ag Innovation Entrepreneurship Academy with the UC Davis Child Family Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the World Food Center.

Agtech is not just for ag experts.

The World Food Center invites UC Davis students, faculty and staff to apply for three scholarships to attend the upcoming Ag Innovation Entrepreneurship Academy, on April 25-27.

To apply, send a brief description of your food or agtech business proposal and your role in the possible company. The World Food Center may conduct short interviews either by phone or in person to select the final recipients of the scholarships. Send scholarship applications to Julie Morris at jimorris@ucdavis.edu by April 8.

And attend a World Food Center-sponsored discussion and networking opportunity for students in business, engineering, law and other fields to learn how to apply their skills to ag and food tech startups. The event, on April 25, begins with a panel discussion at the UC Davis Alumni Center. A networking mixer follows, along with a keynote presentation by sustainability entrepreneur Kat Taylor of TomKat Ranch. The event is open to everyone in the UC Davis community. Register early for the two sections.

The Ag Innovation Entrepreneurship Academy is an opportunity for students, postdocs and faculty in food and ag-related fields to gain the knowledge and networks for developing the commercial potential of their research or ideas.
