Madeleine van Mansfeld, WUR

Biologist, landscape ecologist and process manager transition management.

Madeleine van Mansfeld's professional career covers research, teaching and consultancy in landscape ecology and natural resources management throughout the world.

As senior researcher land use planning and process management at the Environmental Sciences group at Wageningen University, her action-oriented research deals with land use change through participatory regional planning. Using an integrative and interactive approach, she facilitates trans-disciplinary processes for solutions to complex issues on water, agriculture, food and ecosystems.

At present she coordinates the platform Land and Water management and Engineering for Climate-KIC. As such she focuses on mitigation and adaptation for climate resilient coastal and river systems and Climate Smart agriculture.
