As the top-ranked university in the world for agriculture and one of the top 10 public universities in the nation, UC Davis is home to a plethora of resources that its community of faculty, students, postdocs, and staff use to conduct the research that advances agricultural and environmental science on a global scale. Few major universities have the interdisciplinary research strengths and legacy of breakthroughs that UC Davis does in agriculture, food science, health, genetics, biotechnology, intellectual property, sustainability, engineering and the social sciences and humanities.
The World Food Center leverages these resources and the exciting endeavors of our scholars to develop new partnerships and collaborations, both internally and externally. We serve as a portal to the talent in the food and ag space at UC Davis and UC Cooperative Extension. We connect campus researchers and groups with domestic and international stakeholders, including companies and startups in the food industry, universities, think tanks, non-governmental organizations, and more.
