CAST Visits UC Davis for 2018 Annual Meeting

On behalf of the College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences Dean's Office, the World Food Center hosted a half-day program at UC Davis for The Council for Agricultural Science & Technology (CAST)'s annual meeting.

Attendees of the annual meeting were split into three groups to tour a series of exciting UC Davis facilities focused on animal, plant, and food sciences. These tours culminated in a group visit to the Robert Mondavi Institute's Brewery, Winery, and Food Processing Pilot Plant, followed by an outdoor reception at the Good Life Garden. The reception featured speeches from UC Davis faculty Alison Van Eenennaam and Carl Winter, both prior recipients of the Borlaug CAST Communication Award.
